AFTERCARE

Always follow your tattoo artist’s instructions for aftercare.

These instructions are here incase you need them, It's 100% up to you to take care of this tattoo during your critical healing period.

ALWAYS WASH YOUR HANDS PRIOR TO & AFTER HANDLING YOUR TATTOO

SECOND SKIN/SANIDERM:

Do not leave the SecondSkin/Saniderm on longer than your artist specifically advised. Depending on the bandage used this could be 24 hours or 5 days. If questions arise, reach out to your artist.

Although it is waterproof, keep it as dry as possible while showering unless you are planning to remove it.

IF ANY BLOOD/PLASMA LEAKS OUT, OR IF THE TATTOO BECOMES UNCOVERED, REMOVE IT

Once you are ready to remove it, DO let the water in the shower help loosen it. Gently peel up a corner and stretch it away from your skin slowly. Do NOT rip it off like a bandage.

GAUZE COVERING:

Do not leave bandage on for more than 3 hours

Once you are ready to remove it, carefully remove the bandage and discard it.

POST SECOND SKIN/ BANDAGE AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS

Keep following this routine until your tattoo is fully healed which can take a few weeks.

No submerging your tattoo in water (oceans, lakes, rivers, baths, etc) while it is healing.

Wash gently with mild Soap - fragrance free, pump soap and water. Make sure you remove any build up from the tattoo during the first wash. (Bar soap harbors bacteria and are not recommended. If you must use bar soap, lather it first in your hands. Never apply a bar directly to the tattoo)

Pat - DONT rub your tattoo dry with a paper towel or clean towel

Let your tattoo air dry for 10-15 minutes before moisturizing.
